Surveillance Systems Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • 8+ years of professional leadership experience, integrating and maintaining enterprise-level physical security solutions, preferably in a casino setting. 
  • Ability to act as a central point of contact responsible for all product-related or equivalent systems
  • Strong ability to partner with the business leadership to set enterprise strategies as well as suggest process improvements to streamline procedures
  • Evaluating project requests and proposals for viability, assisting with requirements definition and advising on potential impacts to existing applications.
  • Ability to participate with Project Management and other teams to; a.) Estimate total project cost if necessary, and b.) Ensure projects remain on target.
  • Passion to keep abreast of emerging business and technological trends.
  • Ability to regulate provisioning of resources while providing project leadership to identify available solutions, project cost, resource, and time forecasts
  • Develop and implement enhancements to systems to improve performance, security, and value to business.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as operational need dictates and be able to travel out of state regularly, up to 50% of the time.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills and a proven background in dealing with all levels of management, customers, and vendors.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time and project management skills and must be adept at coordinating between all lines of business.
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities.
  • Must have excellent people skills and the ability to explain technology-related issues to non-technical audiences.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation related to systems.
  • Provide support for issues related to surveillance system network, storage, and VMS.
  • Provide training to lay personnel or other team members. 
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, Visio, and CAD.
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and understand sense of urgency
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team. 
  • Extensive knowledge of various types of cabling infrastructure, including installation techniques.
  • Electronic, electrical, and mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient in use of command hand, power tools and test equipment. 
  • Must be able to ascend ladders, carry equipment up to 50 lbs, sit, stand, walk for an extended period of time. 

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment with geographic disparity preferred

Salary

  • *The target salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $100,000 per year.
