Sr. QA Engineer

Right now they are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join their team. The person in this role will join a team of eight to help support a global eCommerce enterprise. Our client is looking for someone who can bring new knowledge, skills, and experience to the team. The ideal candidate has an interest in sharing and teaching those skills to the more junior team members. 

The person in this role must be detail-oriented, motivated, and have a collaborative spirit. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on architectural designs, project plans, and retrospectives with peers, Tech Leads and Application Architects
  • Mentor others and lead trainings for global quality development teams
  • Plan and proactively implement tasks independently that will improve overall software quality
  • Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents. Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases 
  • Lead QA team in designing effective QA test procedures and practices
  • Create, execute, and maintain project test plans to ensure projects meet all requirements and quality standards
  • Develop, investigate, and fix failing automated tests
  • End-to-end regression testing of the application stack and ancillary APIs
  • System defect documentation and tracking
  • Add and maintain regression and project test cases
  • Update and maintain QA documentation, knowledge base, and reports
  • Triage customer issues as required
  • Work closely with the development manager to meet assigned goals
  • Employ effective communication across global organization
  • Participate and lead company and technical trainings
  • Oversee the drafting of testing documents
  • Troubleshoot quality issues, offer observations, and implement best testing procedures and practices

Minimum Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of QA Software Engineering experience supporting agile SDLC 
  • 2 + years experience in developing, executing, and maintaining automated tests and environments
  • Experience testing APIs using software such as Postman, Katalon, Swagger, or similar tools
  • Track record of implementing and maintaining effective testing design patterns and practices
  • Experience with defect tracking systems and procedures
  • Experience in using an object oriented programming language such as C# or Java
  • Demonstrate and train on best practices in full life cycle of software testing activities
  • Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High standard of quality and focus on customer satisfaction

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing and using applications built on the .NET Core framework
  • Experience as a technical team lead or manager
  • Experience working with global software development teams and users located around the world
  • Experience in managing projects

Salary

  • *The target salary for this role ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 per year.
