Director Of Cyber Resilience

Richland, WA

Our client is a nationally recognized scientific research institution. They need a Director of Cyber Resilience who will further the organizational mission and lead a team of forty cyber scientists to find solutions for national issues in areas such as critical infrastructure, climate change, wireless, and cybersecurity.

This team isn’t afraid to fail — and get back up to try again. They need someone who is not only familiar enough with technical processes to engage with individual researchers and ask helpful questions but who can also see the team’s work through the broader lens of the institution and the scientific community at large. Where does the team’s research fit in terms of the whole conversation, and how can we, as a team, refine what we already do well?

The person in this role will help develop and augment this group. Their deep understanding of what the group needs, and what they don’t need, is of the utmost importance. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in an experiment-forward environment — a cyber laboratory — where questions and new ideas are greatly encouraged.
